Take A Bike Ride Around Houston
May is National Bike Month, and bike organizations want everyone to give it a try. In West Houston, you'll find lots of support at the Social Bike Ride event on Thursday, May 11th. The group will meet at 6:00 PM at Beans Cafe on Eldridge Parkway near Enclave. The route for the ride winds through Terry Hershey Park, George Bush Park, and surrounding neighborhoods.
Not sure if your bike is ready? They even offer free tuneups starting half an hour before the event!
BikeHouston and the Energy Corridor District are sponsoring the bike ride, so senior riders in the group will be glad to tell you all about the route before "rollout" at 6:15 PM.
As a social bike ride, this "no-drop" event welcomes riders of all levels. At least one experienced rider will stay at the end of the group to make sure that no one gets left behind. On the ride, you'll be part of the pack, with a rotating group leader who calls out directions for the group as you enjoy the sights.
Whether you're just getting back into biking or you're an experienced bike commuter, West Houston has an extensive system of trails for your convenience and several large, beautiful parks.
The Alexan Enclave Apartments are close to many of these parks, bike trails, commuter routes in the neighborhood. For more information on living here, contact us today!
