Stop By The Bayou City Art Festival
Did you know that a temporary, outdoor art installation is set to go up near Alexan Enclave Apartments? It is part of the much-loved, Bayou City Art Festival. Considered a Washington Corridor must, it is roughly 6 miles from our Briar Forest Drive community in Memorial Park. The park is a year-round destination that is also open to Alexan Enclave Apartment residents.
The Bayou City Art Festival is an annual event that tends to take place in the spring. In 2017, the largely daytime activities are due to run from March 24th until the 26th. Although entrance to the park is typically free, that’s not the case during this springtime favorite. So anyone wishing to view the art and partake of the park’s facilities must remit both admittance and shuttle fees.
Of course the shuttle fees only apply to those who plan on making use of the service. Those Alexan Enclave Apartment residents who wish to bring their own vehicles to the park should note they may have to pay additional fees and hoof it. Free parking will not be available nearby. Therefore, it is really best to plan on heading to the Northwest Mall and parking there. The mall is where one can jump aboard the event’s designated shuttles.
In addition to the art installation, visitors will have opportunities to partake of additional activities and services. For example, there will be refreshment stands and live entertainment offered throughout the three-day event. We also expect a number of local vendors to be on hand. They will undoubtedly be selling their wares as well.
When Alexan Enclave Apartment residents arrive at the park, head towards the volleyball courts first. That's where the majority of the action will take place. It’s also where late-comers may purchase tickets. Early birds may want to get that little piece of business taken care of by ordering a few online.
