Don't Miss The Via Colori Street Painting Festival!
Attracting over 25,000 visitors annually, the Via Colori Street Painting Festival has grown into Houston’s signature art festival. Each year, more than 200 artists gather at Hermann Square in Downtown Houston to create unique street paintings using pastel chalks. The artists come from all over the world to participate in this lively event and donate their time to make our hometown of Houston an artist’s playground.
What’s a festival without a beneficiary? Houston Via Colori benefits The Center for Hearing and Speech by raising funds for the critical health and educational services for children with hearing loss. Last year alone, the festival raised $400,000 for this amazing organization.
This year, artists are challenged to create murals depicting the theme, The Art of Sound. “The new theme will inspire artists to turn rhythm, music and sound into their unique designs”, the event website highlights, “illustrating the amazing gift of sound that the Center brings to its clients. New activities, strolling performers, and an exclusive lounge are just a few more enhancements to this year’s event.”
Via Colori is a short commute from our Houston Energy Corridor Apartments and provides attendees an experience unlike any other in the region! Click HERE for more info.
