Houston Restaurant Weeks Benefit a Good Cause
If you want to enjoy a delicious meal that benefits a good cause, then don't miss Houston Restaurant Weeks.
It takes place from August 1st through September 3rd, and is the largest annual fundraiser for the Houston Food Bank.
Participating restaurants donate a portion of their proceeds, and highlights include:
Since 2008, Bellagreen has offered a fast-casual dining experience complete with friendly, attentive service. All of its locations are at least 3-Star Certified Green as the owners use water-saving devices and alternate power sources among other green practices. The meals are made from scratch using the freshest ingredients, and the four-course event menu includes organic spinach dip, minestrone soup, and spicy shrimp pasta with a delectable slice of cake for dessert.
Genesis Steakhouse & Wine Bar
Nestled in the heart of the Bellaire neighborhood, Genesis is owned and operated by second-generation restaurateur Jason Goldstein. He followed in the culinary footsteps of his mother, and the restaurant is the first kosher steakhouse in the Southwestern United States. It's known for offering a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and classic dishes with gourmet interpretations, and those looking for a more private affair can reserve the modern wine room. The Restaurant Weeks menu includes summer salad, braised short ribs, and bourbon-glazed bread pudding.
Marvino's Italian Kitchen
At Marvino's, the motto is "Made with Amore." It features dishes prepared with fresh, quality ingredients, and a cozy dining room complete with chandeliers, barrels, and works of art. The restaurant is named after the oldest son of owners David and Alicia Herrera and will offer an event menu that includes seared ahi tuna, romaine wedge salad, and Marvino's seafood trio.
